The United States Mint produces a proof edition of its famous Gold Eagle bullion coin, crafted with a method that involves striking the metal multiple times. This particular coin has been graded in Proof 69 Ultra Cameo condition, indicating its nearly flawless preservation and visual depth. On the obverse, the design is adapted from the historic Gold Double Eagle created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. It depicts Lady Liberty walking forward, holding a torch in one hand and an olive branch in the other, with the rays of a rising sun filling the background.
