1 oz Silver Bar - David Michelanglo (U.S. Silver Corporation)
In 1974, the United States Silver Corporation released a striking silver bar that merges classical Renaissance art with mid-century precious metal production. This one-ounce bar of 0.999 fine silver pays tribute to one of the most famous sculptures in human history, capturing a piece of artistic legacy in a compact, metallic medium. The front of the bar features a detailed depiction of Michelangelo's masterpiece, the statue of David. Accompanying the artwork are inscriptions that read "DAVID" and "MICHELANGLO", along with the years "1501 to 1504", marking the period during which the original marble statue was sculpted in Florence. The reverse side of the bar carries the stamp of the United States Silver Corporation, confirming its origin. It also displays the year of manufacture, 1974, alongside the weight and purity specifications, which include "ONE TROY OUNCE" and "0.999+ FINE". A unique serial number is also present, adding a distinct touch to each individual piece from this 1970s production run.
