Between the years 1907 and 1933, the United States minted a ten dollar gold piece that departed dramatically from traditional coinage designs. Her hair band is inscribed with the word LIBERTY, and thirteen stars curve along the upper border to represent the original colonies, while the year of issue is positioned at the bottom. Rather than a standard flat or reeded edge, this coin features raised stars along its rim, adding a tactile and visual depth to its physical form. On the reverse side, a proud bald eagle stands as the central focus.
