In the early 1980s, Eastern Precious Metals produced a substantial silver bar that carries the distinct charm of vintage metalwork. Weighing 100 troy ounces, these pieces were manufactured using hand-pressed or poured methods, which gives each individual bar its own unique texture, shape, and physical character. Because they are no longer in production, these heavy bars serve as fascinating physical touchstones from a specific era of private silver refining. The front of the bar displays the essential details of its composition and origin. It features the name of the manufacturer, Eastern Precious Metals, alongside the weight and purity. Legible markings include "EPM", "100 TROY OZ.", and "0.999 FINE PURE SILVER". Some of these bars also feature a unique serial number stamped into the metal. In contrast to the detailed front, the back of the bar is entirely blank, showcasing the raw, cooled surface of the poured silver.
