This copper five-kopek piece represents a tangible artifact from the Russian Empire during the era of Catherine the Great. Struck in 1786, this coin survived more than two centuries while retaining its Brilliant Uncirculated condition, showing a distinct brown copper coloration that highlights its historical preservation. The obverse displays the elegant, crowned monogram of Empress Catherine II, which is positioned to split the four-digit year of production. This central monogram is framed by a decorative wreath. On the reverse, the coin features the crowned, double-headed imperial eagle, a powerful symbol of the Russian state during the late eighteenth century.
