Struck in the early years of the United States, this 1810 Capped Bust silver half dollar offers a fascinating look at the nation's young coinage. Minted in Philadelphia, the coin is composed of 89.24 percent silver, containing approximately 0.3868 troy ounces of the precious metal. It represents a time when manual coin production was the standard, resulting in unique characteristics across a total mintage of 1,276,276 pieces. This specific specimen survives in Extra Fine condition, preserving the fine details of its historic engraving. The obverse displays a left-facing portrait of Lady Liberty, her hair draped beneath a soft cap.
