0.0000 troy oz 1847 Brilliant Unc

In 1847, the sovereign Kingdom of Hawaii issued its own copper one-cent coin, marking a distinctive moment in the islands' monetary history. This piece features a forward-facing, uniformed bust of King Kamehameha III on the obverse. The reverse displays the denomination of the coin nestled within a decorative wreath. Though the original production run reached 100,000 pieces, these copper cents are exceptionally scarce today. Experts estimate that fewer than ten percent of the original mintage has survived to the present era. This particular specimen is preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, showing remarkable detail despite evidence of past cleaning, making it a captivating survivor of nineteenth-century Hawaiian history.
