This particular specimen survives in Extra Fine condition, displaying the crisp details of a design that circulated during a pivotal era in the nation's history. The obverse of the coin features a classic profile of Lady Liberty. Her hair is styled elegantly, and she wears a coronet inscribed with the word LIBERTY, though the primary legible lettering surrounding the portrait reads UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, framing the date 1865 below.
