The 1868 Indian Head Cent represents a classic era of American copper coinage. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this coin is composed of an alloy containing 95 percent copper, with the remaining five percent made of tin and zinc. It survives today in a graded condition of Very Good, showing the honest wear of a coin that likely circulated during the post-Civil War era. Designed by James B.
