1878-1904 Morgan Dollars BU (Beautifully Toned)

The Morgan Dollar stands as one of the most recognized and celebrated silver coins in United States history. Minted from 1878 to 1904, these pieces represent a classic era of American coinage. Each coin contains 0.7734 troy ounces of silver, crafted from a composition that is 90 percent pure silver. The specimens preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition are especially captivating, often displaying beautiful, natural toning that develops over decades of storage, giving each individual piece a unique visual character. On the obverse side, a left-facing portrait of Liberty is depicted wearing a Phrygian cap. A band secured in her hair is inscribed with the word LIBERTY. This side also features the classic American motto, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the year of mintage along the lower rim. The reverse side showcases a powerful bald eagle with its wings spread wide. In its talons, the eagle firmly clutches both an olive branch and a bundle of arrows, symbolizing a desire for peace alongside a readiness for defense. Surrounding the central eagle design are the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the face value, ONE DOLLAR.
