1878-1904 Morgan Dollars BU (Originally Toned)

The Morgan silver dollar, minted between 1878 and 1904, remains one of the most celebrated icons of American coinage. These particular specimens survived the decades preserved in their original state, tucked away inside vintage rolls, bags, or albums. Because they remained undisturbed for so long, the silver has reacted naturally with its environment to develop a stunning, pastel-like toning. This delicate patina blankets the surfaces in soft, unique hues, making each coin a distinct visual treasure. On the obverse side, a left-facing portrait of Liberty is depicted. She wears a classic Phrygian cap, with a hair band clearly displaying the word LIBERTY. The reverse side features a majestic bald eagle with its wings spread wide. In its talons, the eagle firmly grasps a symbolic combination of an olive branch and a cluster of arrows. Each of these historic dollars is composed of 90 percent silver, containing 0.7734 troy ounces of precious metal. Because they are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, the intricate details of the original engraving remain sharp and clear, beautifully framed by the natural, colorful oxidation that only time can create.
