On the obverse side, the profile of Liberty faces left, adorned with a Phrygian cap that features the word "Liberty" inscribed upon her hair band. This classic portrait is encircled by thirteen stars representing the original colonies, the year of issue, and the Latin motto "E Pluribus Unum." The reverse displays a powerful bald eagle with its wings spread, grasping both an olive branch of peace and a bundle of arrows representing strength.
