Introduced in the late nineteenth century, the Morgan Dollar represents a classic era of American silver coinage. These specific specimens, minted between 1878 and 1904, are certified in a high-grade Mint State 64 Plus condition. Each coin is struck from 90 percent silver, containing 0.7734 troy ounces of the precious metal, and served as a standard unit of currency during a period of circulation that lasted for about eight decades. The obverse features a profile of Liberty adorned with a Phrygian cap, which displays her name across the band of her hair. Encircling this central portrait are thirteen stars, the year of manufacture, and the Latin motto translating to "Out of many, one." On the reverse, a bald eagle is depicted holding both arrows and an olive branch in its talons. The eagle is framed by the inscriptions designating the nation as the United States of America, the face value of One Dollar, and the national motto, "In God We Trust."
