The 1879-S Morgan Silver Dollar represents a classic era of American coinage. Minted in San Francisco, this coin contains 0.7734 troy ounces of pure silver, struck with a fineness of 0.900. Its preservation in Brilliant Uncirculated condition allows observers to appreciate the original details of the engraving just as they emerged from the coining press over a century ago. On the obverse side, the profile of Liberty faces left. She wears a Phrygian cap adorned with a band bearing the word "Liberty". Surrounding her portrait are thirteen small stars, the year of issue 1879, and the Latin motto "E Pluribus Unum". This side of the coin captures a timeless representation of American freedom. The reverse displays a powerful bald eagle with its wings spread wide. In its talons, the eagle grasps an olive branch alongside a bundle of arrows, symbolizing both peace and military readiness. The inscriptions "United States of America" and "One Dollar" encircle the central design, while the motto "In God We Trust" is positioned above the eagle.
