0.7734 troy oz .900 1879 Brilliant Unc (PCGS)

Struck in the late nineteenth century, this 1879 Morgan silver dollar represents a classic era of American coinage. Minted at the Philadelphia facility, this coin is notable for the absence of a mint mark, a traditional feature for pieces produced at the nation's primary minting location during this period. It contains 0.7734 troy ounces of silver with a fineness of 0.900, preserved in brilliant uncirculated condition. The obverse of the coin presents a profile of Liberty, who wears a Phrygian cap decorated with cotton balls and wheat. The reverse features a bald eagle with its wings spread wide, holding arrows and an olive branch in its talons, symbolizing both strength and peace. The inscriptions on the coin include the national motto, "In God We Trust," along with the country of origin and the one-dollar denomination.
