0.7734 troy oz .900 1880 Brilliant Unc (GSA-Packaging)

The 1880 Morgan silver dollar stands as a remarkable artifact from the Carson City Mint, bearing the famous CC mint mark. This particular specimen survives in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, preserving the crisp details of its original strike. Composed of 90 percent silver, the coin contains 0.7734 troy ounces of precious metal, offering a substantial and tactile connection to late nineteenth-century American coinage. On the obverse, a left-facing portrait of Liberty is adorned with a Phrygian cap, her hair band clearly displaying the word Liberty. This side is framed by thirteen stars representing the original colonies, the 1880 date, and the Latin motto E Pluribus Unum. The reverse displays a heraldic bald eagle with outstretched wings, clutching both arrows and an olive branch in its talons. Surrounding the central eagle are the inscriptions United States of America and One Dollar, alongside the motto In God We Trust.
