The 1880-O Morgan Dollar represents a fascinating era in American currency, serving as a standard unit of exchange during a time when silver coins circulated widely. Minted in New Orleans, this particular coin is preserved in Extra Fine condition, showing the enduring details of a design that circulated throughout the United States for nearly eighty years. On the obverse, the profile of Liberty is depicted wearing a traditional Phrygian cap. A close look reveals the word LIBERTY delicately inscribed upon her hair band. The reverse side displays a bald eagle with its wings spread, holding a bundle of arrows and an olive branch in its talons.
