Composed of 90 percent silver, the coin contains 0.7734 troy ounces of precious metal. On the obverse side, a left-facing profile of Liberty is depicted wearing a Phrygian cap. Her hair band is inscribed with the word "Liberty," while the motto "E Pluribus Unum," the year 1880, and thirteen stars encircle the central portrait. This side represents a classic era of American design, rendered with sharp clarity. The reverse presents a powerful bald eagle with its wings spread, clutching both an olive branch and arrows in its talons. Surrounding the national bird are the inscriptions "United States of America" and "One Dollar."
