The 1881 Morgan Dollar represents a classic era of American coinage. Minted in Philadelphia, this silver dollar does not feature a mint mark, distinguishing it from those struck at branch facilities. It contains 0.7734 troy ounces of silver, with a purity of 90 percent. This particular specimen survives in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, preserving the crisp details of its original striking. On the obverse side, the profile of Liberty is depicted wearing a Phrygian cap, which features a hair band displaying the word LIBERTY. Framing this central portrait are the Latin motto E PLURIBUS UNUM, the 1881 year of issue, and thirteen stars representing the original colonies. The reverse side showcases a bald eagle holding both an olive branch and arrows in its talons. The eagle is encircled by the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and ONE DOLLAR, along with the motto IN GOD WE TRUST.
