0.7734 troy oz .900 1882 Almost Unc

Struck in the late nineteenth century, this 1882 silver dollar represents a classic era of American coinage. Minted at the legendary Carson City facility in Nevada, the coin bears the famous double C mark, a detail that connects it directly to the silver boom of the old West. This particular specimen survives in Almost Uncirculated condition, retaining much of its original luster and detail from the day it left the coining press. The obverse features a left-facing profile of Liberty. She wears a Phrygian cap, which is adorned with a band inscribed with the word LIBERTY. On the reverse, a bald eagle is depicted with its wings spread, holding a bundle of arrows in one talon and an olive branch in the other. This classic design contains 0.7734 troy ounces of silver, with a purity of 90 percent, making it a substantial piece of late nineteenth-century history.
