The 1882 Morgan silver dollar stands as a remarkable artifact from the Carson City Mint, bearing the famous CC mint mark. This particular specimen survives in brilliant uncirculated condition, offering a clear look at the craftsmanship of late nineteenth-century American coining. Struck with a silver purity of 90 percent, the coin contains exactly 0.7734 troy ounces of precious metal. On the obverse side, the profile of Liberty is depicted wearing a traditional Phrygian cap, which features a hair band inscribed with the word Liberty. This central portrait is encircled by the Latin motto E Pluribus Unum, thirteen symbolic stars, and the 1882 year of manufacture. The reverse of the coin showcases a bald eagle with its wings spread, grasping both an olive branch and arrows in its talons. Surrounding this central motif are the inscriptions United States of America and One Dollar, along with the national motto, In God We Trust, positioned directly above the eagle.
