The 1882 Morgan silver dollar stands as a classic representative of late nineteenth-century American coinage. Minted at the famous Carson City facility, this particular issue carries the distinctive CC mint mark on its reverse. With a total mintage of 1,133,000 pieces, finding an example preserved in a high certified grade of Mint State 65 (MS-65) offers a rare glimpse into the original artistry of the era. Designed by George T. Morgan, the coin features a detailed profile of Liberty on the obverse. She wears a Phrygian cap adorned with a band inscribed with the word Liberty.
