1882 Morgan Dollar MS-63 PCGS

0.7734 troy oz .900 1882 MS-63 (PCGS)

Struck in the late nineteenth century, this 1882 silver dollar represents a classic era of American coinage. Minted at the Philadelphia facility, this specimen carries no mint mark, which distinguishes it from those produced at branch mints during the same year. It contains 0.7734 troy ounces of silver with a purity of 90 percent, representing the standard composition for circulating silver coins of its time. The obverse features a profile of Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap, a traditional symbol of freedom. A band in her hair is inscribed with the word "Liberty," surrounded by the Latin motto "E Pluribus Unum," thirteen stars representing the original colonies, and the 1882 date. On the reverse, a bald eagle is depicted clutching an olive branch and arrows, symbolizing a desire for peace but a readiness for defense. This central image is accompanied by the inscriptions "United States of America," "One Dollar," and the motto "In God We Trust." Having achieved a certified grade of Mint State 63 (MS-63), this coin retains its original mint luster and details from the day it was struck.
