Struck in 1882 at the New Orleans Mint, this Morgan Dollar represents a classic era of American silver coinage. Composed of 0.900 fine silver and containing 0.7734 troy ounces of precious metal, this official United States currency has survived the decades in remarkable condition, earning a certified grade of Mint State 64. The obverse features a left-facing portrait of Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap. A band in her hair is inscribed with the word 'Liberty', surrounded by thirteen stars, the year 1882, and the Latin motto 'E Pluribus Unum'. On the reverse, a bald eagle is depicted holding both an olive branch and arrows, symbolizing peace and readiness. The reverse design is framed by the inscriptions 'United States of America', 'One Dollar', and the motto 'In God We Trust'.
