The 1884 Morgan silver dollar stands as a remarkable survivor from the nineteenth century, minted in the American West. Bearing the famous CC mint mark, this coin was struck at the Carson City Mint in Nevada, a facility deeply tied to the silver rushes of the era. This specific specimen has been certified in Mint State 63 condition, preserving its original luster and details for over a century. On the obverse, the design presents a profile of Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap, which is adorned with a band displaying her name. Surrounding her portrait are thirteen stars, the year 1884, and the Latin motto meaning out of many, one. The composition contains 0.7734 troy ounces of silver, with a purity of 90 percent. The reverse side showcases a bald eagle with its wings spread, grasping an olive branch and arrows in its talons. Above the eagle, the phrase acknowledging trust in God is inscribed, while the outer rim displays the name of the issuing nation and the face value of one dollar.
