0.7734 troy oz .900 1884 Extra Fine

The 1884 Morgan silver dollar stands as a remarkable artifact from the late nineteenth century, struck at the legendary Carson City Mint in Nevada. Bearing the famous CC mint mark on its reverse, this particular coin has survived the decades in Extra Fine condition, preserving the fine details of its historic engraving. Crafted from 90 percent silver, each of these dollars contains 0.7734 troy ounces of precious metal. On the obverse side, the profile of Liberty is depicted wearing a Phrygian cap, a traditional symbol of freedom, with her name clearly inscribed upon her hair band. This side is framed by thirteen stars representing the original colonies, the 1884 date of manufacture, and the Latin motto meaning out of many, one. The reverse side showcases a powerful bald eagle with its wings spread, grasping both an olive branch of peace and a bundle of arrows. Surrounding this central motif are the inscriptions declaring the nation of origin, the face value of One Dollar, and the national motto expressing trust in God.
