0.7734 troy oz .900 1884 MS-67 (NGC)

Struck in the late nineteenth century, this 1884 Morgan Dollar represents a classic era of United States coinage. Minted at the historic New Orleans facility, the coin features the distinctive 'O' mint mark on its reverse. It contains 0.77344 troy ounces of silver, with a composition that is 90 percent pure. This particular specimen has survived the decades in extraordinary condition, graded as a superb Mint State 67. The obverse of the coin displays a left-facing profile of Liberty. She wears a traditional Phrygian cap, adorned with a band inscribed with the word 'Liberty'. Encircling this central portrait are thirteen stars, the year 1884, and the Latin motto 'E Pluribus Unum'. On the reverse, a bald eagle is depicted with outspread wings, grasping both arrows and an olive branch in its talons. The national motto 'In God We Trust' appears above the eagle, while the legends 'United States of America' and the 'One Dollar' face value frame the design.
