0.7734 troy oz .900 1884 Brilliant Unc (PCGS)

Struck in 1884 at the historic New Orleans Mint, this silver dollar represents a classic era of American coinage. The coin contains 0.7734 troy ounces of silver, minted with a fineness of 0.900. It survives today in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, preserving the sharp details of its original strike from over a century ago. The obverse displays a profile of Liberty, her hair adorned with a Phrygian cap that is decorated with native American agricultural elements, specifically cotton balls and wheat. The date 1884 is clearly inscribed below the portrait. On the reverse, a majestic bald eagle is depicted with its wings fully spread. The eagle holds an olive branch and a bundle of arrows in its talons, symbolizing both peace and military readiness. Just below the wreath on this side, the distinct 'O' mint mark identifies its origin from the New Orleans facility.
