The 1884 Morgan silver dollar represents a classic era of American coinage, struck at the San Francisco Mint with a total production of 3,200,000 pieces. This particular specimen is certified in About Uncirculated 55 condition, preserving the intricate details of its late nineteenth-century design. Composed of 90 percent silver, the coin contains 0.77344 troy ounces of precious metal. On the obverse, a left-facing profile of Liberty is depicted wearing a traditional Phrygian cap, which features a band inscribed with the word LIBERTY. The reverse displays a powerful bald eagle with its wings spread, grasping a bundle of arrows and an olive branch in its talons. The San Francisco mint mark, a small letter S, is positioned on the reverse side just above the face value of one dollar.
