Struck in 1884, this United States silver dollar represents a classic era of American coinage. The piece is preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, allowing observers to appreciate the original luster and crisp details of its design just as they appeared over a century ago. Minted in Philadelphia, the coin is composed of 90 percent silver, containing 0.7734 troy ounces of the precious metal. The obverse side presents a dignified profile of Liberty. She wears a Phrygian cap, a traditional symbol of freedom, which is beautifully decorated with sprigs of wheat and cotton. In its talons, the eagle grasps both an olive branch and a bundle of arrows, representing a balance of peace and readiness.
