0.7734 troy oz .900 1885 MS-66 (NGC)

The 1885 Morgan dollar stands as a remarkable example of classic United States silver coinage. Struck with a purity of 0.900 silver, this piece contains 0.7734 troy ounces of precious metal. This particular specimen has been certified in an outstanding Mint State 66 (MS-66) condition, preserving the crisp details of its original minting. On the obverse, a left-facing portrait of Liberty is depicted wearing a Phrygian cap, which features a hair band inscribed with the word "Liberty". Surrounding her likeness are thirteen stars, the year of issue (1885), and the traditional Latin motto "E Pluribus Unum". The reverse of the coin showcases a bald eagle with its wings spread, grasping a bundle of arrows and an olive branch in its talons. Arched above the eagle is the motto "In God We Trust", while the outer inscriptions clearly state the issuing country, "United States of America", and the face value of "One Dollar".
