1885-O Stage Coach Morgan Dollar BU PCGS

0.7734 troy oz .900 1885 Brilliant Unc (PCGS)

The 1885-O Morgan Silver Dollar stands as a striking example of late nineteenth-century American coinage. Minted at the historic New Orleans facility, this coin features the distinctive 'O' mint mark on its reverse. Struck from 0.900 fine silver, each piece contains 0.7734 troy ounces of precious metal and has survived in brilliant uncirculated condition, preserving its original luster and sharp details. On the obverse, a left-facing profile of Liberty is depicted wearing a Phrygian cap, which is beautifully adorned with native American agricultural elements, specifically wheat and cotton balls. The year 1885 is clearly stamped below the portrait. The reverse features a powerful bald eagle with its wings fully spread, clutching an olive branch and a bundle of arrows in its talons, symbolizing both peace and military preparedness. The traditional inscriptions of 'UNITED STATES OF AMERICA', 'ONE DOLLAR', and the motto 'IN GOD WE TRUST' frame this classic design.
