0.9334 troy oz .900 Average Circulated

Struck in the late nineteenth century, this Venezuelan gold coin represents a fascinating era of South American coinage. Minted with a purity of 90 percent gold, each piece contains 0.9334 troy ounces of precious metal. These coins have survived in average circulated condition, carrying the soft wear of history on their surfaces. The obverse of the coin displays a profile portrait of the celebrated leader Simon Bolivar. Surrounding his likeness is the bold inscription BOLIVAR LIBERTADOR, honoring his legacy. The design was executed by the artist Albert Desire Barre, whose name is also subtly integrated into the obverse presentation. On the reverse, the coin features the detailed national arms of Venezuela. This side of the piece also functions as a record of its own physical specifications, with inscribed details indicating the year of issue, the metal fineness, and the official weight of the coin.
