Struck in 90 percent silver with a precious metal weight of 0.7734 troy ounces, this specific piece has survived the decades in Extra Fine condition, retaining much of its original detail and texture for modern observers to appreciate. On the obverse side, the profile of Liberty is shown wearing a classic Phrygian cap. Her hair band is inscribed with the word LIBERTY, while the outer edge of the coin is encircled by thirteen stars, the year 1886, and the Latin motto E PLURIBUS UNUM. This side showcases the intricate artistry that defined American coinage during this era. The reverse side presents a powerful bald eagle with its wings spread, grasping both arrows and an olive branch in its talons. Surrounding this central image are the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and ONE DOLLAR, along with the national motto IN GOD WE TRUST.
