0.7734 troy oz .900 1886 Brilliant Unc (PCGS)

The 1886 Morgan Silver Dollar stands as a classic example of late nineteenth-century American coinage. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this coin does not bear a mint mark, distinguishing it from those produced at branch facilities. It contains 0.7734 troy ounces of pure silver, with a composition that is 90 percent silver and 10 percent copper. The obverse of the coin displays a left-facing portrait of Liberty. She wears a Phrygian cap decorated with cotton blossoms and wheat stalks, symbolizing American agricultural heritage. The date 1886 is inscribed along the bottom curve of the coin. On the reverse, a bald eagle is depicted with its wings fully spread. The eagle holds an olive branch and arrows in its talons, representing the dual themes of peace and military readiness. The inscription "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" arches over the top of the design, while the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" is featured above the eagle's head. This specific coin has been certified as being in Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
