0.7734 troy oz .900 1887 Very Good/Very Fine

The 1887 Morgan Dollar represents a classic era of American currency, part of a famous silver series that served as legal tender in the United States for close to eight decades. Struck in 90% silver, each of these coins contains 0.7734 troy ounces of precious metal. The physical specimen shows wear consistent with a Very Good to Very Fine grade, preserving the essential details of its historic design. On the obverse side, the profile of Liberty is visible wearing a traditional Phrygian cap, with her hair band displaying her name. Framing her portrait are thirteen stars, the 1887 year of manufacture, and the Latin motto translated as "Out of many, one." The reverse side presents a bald eagle with its wings spread, grasping a bundle of arrows and a symbolic olive branch in its talons. Surrounding this central motif are the inscriptions identifying the nation as the United States of America, the denomination of One Dollar, and the national motto, "In God We Trust."
