The 1890 Morgan silver dollar stands as a compelling artifact from the late nineteenth century, minted in the historic frontier town of Carson City, Nevada. This particular specimen, preserved in Very Fine details despite showing signs of past cleaning, contains 0.7734 troy ounces of pure silver. It represents one of 2,309,041 such coins struck at the Nevada facility during that single year. On the obverse side, the profile of Liberty is visible wearing a traditional Phrygian cap, which features the word Liberty inscribed across her hair band. This side is framed by the Latin motto E Pluribus Unum, thirteen symbolic stars, and the 1890 year of manufacture. The reverse displays a bald eagle with its wings spread, grasping an olive branch and arrows in its talons. Surrounding the national bird are the inscriptions United States of America and One Dollar, along with the motto In God We Trust. Positioned just below the eagle is the highly recognizable CC mint mark, identifying its origin from the Carson City Mint.
