This silver dollar from 1891 represents a fascinating moment in American coining history, originating from the highly collected Carson City Mint in Nevada. Struck with the famous CC mint mark, this piece is composed of 90 percent silver, containing 0.77344 troy ounces of the precious metal. Out of a total mintage of 1,618,000 pieces, this specimen survives in Almost Uncirculated condition, preserving its original design details with remarkable clarity. The front of the coin presents a left-facing portrait of Liberty. She wears a traditional Phrygian cap, which features a band inscribed with the word LIBERTY. The year 1891 is clearly struck below her portrait, anchoring the coin to its late nineteenth-century origins. On the reverse side, a bald eagle is depicted with its wings spread wide.
