0.7734 troy oz .900 1891 Almost Unc

The 1891 Morgan Dollar represents a classic era of American silver coinage. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this coin does not bear a mint mark, distinguishing it from those produced at branch mints. Each of these historic dollars contains 0.7734 troy ounces of silver, with a composition that is 90 percent pure. The Morgan Dollar series as a whole enjoyed an extensive presence in American commerce, circulating for approximately 80 years. On the obverse, a left-facing portrait of Liberty is depicted wearing a Phrygian cap, a traditional symbol of freedom. Her hair band is inscribed with the word LIBERTY, and the year of issue, 1891, is clearly displayed at the bottom of the design. The reverse features a powerful bald eagle with its wings spread, grasping an olive branch of peace and a bundle of arrows of strength. Surrounding the eagle are the inscriptions representing the nation, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, and the denomination, ONE DOLLAR, alongside the motto, IN GOD WE TRUST.
