0.7734 troy oz .900 1892 NGC

The year 1892 marked a significant era for American coinage, particularly for the silver dollars struck at the legendary Carson City Mint in Nevada. This specific specimen, certified in Almost Uncirculated 55 condition, contains 0.7734 troy ounces of silver with a purity of 90 percent. Bearing the famous CC mint mark on its reverse side beneath the wreath, the coin represents a fascinating artifact from the late nineteenth century. On the obverse, the design showcases a profile of Liberty adorned with a Phrygian cap. This side is framed by thirteen stars representing the original American colonies, along with the date 1892 and the Latin motto E Pluribus Unum. The word Liberty is also inscribed upon her band. The reverse displays a bald eagle with its wings spread, grasping arrows and an olive branch in its talons. Surrounding the central eagle are the inscriptions United States of America, One Dollar, and the national motto In God We Trust, completing a design that remains one of the most recognized in numismatic history.
