0.7734 troy oz .900 1892 Good

The 1892 Morgan silver dollar represents a fascinating moment in American coining history, minted at the famous Carson City facility in Nevada. This particular issue, graded in Good condition, carries a silver purity of 90 percent, translating to 0.7734 troy ounces of pure silver. Out of a total mintage of 1,352,000 pieces, each surviving specimen offers a tangible connection to the late nineteenth century. On the obverse side, the profile of Liberty faces left, adorned with a Phrygian cap that bears a hair band inscribed with the word Liberty. Encircling her portrait are thirteen stars representing the original colonies, the year of issue 1892, and the classic Latin motto E Pluribus Unum. The reverse displays a bald eagle with its wings spread, clutching an olive branch of peace in one talon and arrows of readiness in the other. Surrounding this central motif are the inscriptions United States of America and One Dollar, along with the national motto In God We Trust written above the eagle.
