The 1892 Morgan silver dollar stands as a classic example of late nineteenth-century American coinage. Struck from 0.900 fine silver, this particular piece contains 0.7734 troy ounces of precious metal. Because it was produced at the Philadelphia Mint, the coin features no mint mark, distinguishing its origin from other branch mints of the era. On the obverse, the design presents a profile of Liberty adorned with a Phrygian cap. Her hair band is inscribed with the word "Liberty". Encircling this central portrait are thirteen stars representing the original colonies, the date 1892, and the Latin motto "E Pluribus Unum". This specimen has been certified in Mint State 62 (MS-62) condition, preserving these intricate details. The reverse displays a bald eagle with its wings spread, clutching both an olive branch and arrows in its talons. Surrounding the eagle are the inscriptions "United States of America" and the denomination "One Dollar". The motto "In God We Trust" is also featured prominently above the eagle, completing a design that remains highly celebrated by enthusiasts of historical currency.
