This 1892 silver dollar represents a classic era of American coinage. Minted at the Philadelphia facility, the coin carries no mint mark, distinguishing it from those struck at branch mints. It contains 0.7734 troy ounces of pure silver, structured within a composition of 90 percent silver and 10 percent copper. With a diameter of 38.1 millimeters and a thickness of 3.1 millimeters, it is a substantial piece of nineteenth-century currency. Out of a total mintage of 1,036,000 pieces, this particular specimen has survived in an impressive certified grade of Mint State 63 (MS-63), displaying much of its original luster. Designed by George T. Morgan, the coin features a left-facing portrait of Lady Liberty on the obverse. She wears a Phrygian cap adorned with a wreath of cotton and wheat. Thirteen stars encircle her profile, representing the original colonies, with the year 1892 positioned at the bottom. The reverse displays a bald eagle with its wings fully spread, clutching both an olive branch and arrows in its talons. Surrounding the eagle are the inscriptions 'UNITED STATES OF AMERICA', 'ONE DOLLAR', and the motto 'IN GOD WE TRUST'.
