The 1892 Morgan silver dollar, minted in New Orleans, stands as a remarkable survivor from a classic era of American silver coinage. This particular specimen is preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, meaning its original mint luster and sharp details remain intact, just as they emerged from the coin press over a century ago. Struck from 0.900 fine silver, the coin contains 0.7734 troy ounces of precious metal. On the obverse side, the profile of Liberty is depicted wearing a Phrygian cap, a traditional symbol of freedom, with her hair band displaying the word "Liberty." This central portrait is framed by the national motto "E Pluribus Unum," the 1892 year of issue, and thirteen stars representing the original colonies. The reverse side presents a powerful bald eagle with outstretched wings, grasping an olive branch of peace and arrows of readiness. Surrounding this central design are the inscriptions "United States of America" and the "One Dollar" denomination, along with the motto "In God We Trust" positioned above the eagle.
