The 1892 Morgan Dollar stands as a classic representative of America's late nineteenth-century circulating coinage. Struck at the historic New Orleans Mint, this coin bears the "O" mint mark, identifying its Southern origin. The Morgan Dollar series served as active currency in the United States for roughly 80 years, making it a familiar part of daily commerce across generations. On the obverse side, the profile of Liberty faces left, adorned with a Phrygian cap that features a hair band inscribed with the word "LIBERTY". Surrounding her portrait are thirteen stars representing the original colonies, the 1892 issue date, and the traditional Latin motto "E Pluribus Unum".
