Minted in San Francisco, this coin features the distinctive 'S' mint mark, indicating its origin at the western facility. With a purity of 90 percent silver, it contains 0.7734 troy ounces of precious metal, representing the standard weight and composition of the classic circulating dollars of the era. This particular specimen has survived the decades in remarkable condition, certified in About Uncirculated AU-53 status. Out of an original mintage of 1,200,000 pieces, very few remain in such a well-preserved state.
