1893-CC Morgan Dollar Fine
The 1893 Morgan silver dollar struck at the Carson City Mint represents a compelling moment in American coining. With a total mintage of just 677,000 pieces, this issue is highly regarded by those who study the output of the Nevada minting facility. Each coin is composed of 90 percent silver, containing 0.7734 troy ounces of the precious metal. The obverse of the coin displays a left-facing portrait of Liberty. She wears a Phrygian cap adorned with a band inscribed with the word "LIBERTY". Surrounding her image are thirteen stars, the year 1893, and the Latin motto "E Pluribus Unum". On the reverse, a bald eagle is depicted with outstretched wings, clutching both arrows and an olive branch in its talons. The inscriptions on this side include "United States of America" and the denomination "One Dollar". Positioned above the eagle is the national motto, "In God We Trust", while the famous "CC" mint mark of the Carson City Mint is located just below the wreath.
