0.0000 troy oz 1893 Good

The 1893 Indian Head Cent represents a classic era of United States minor coinage. Struck in a durable alloy composed of 95 percent copper alongside a 5 percent blend of tin and zinc, this small cent has survived more than a century of circulation. This particular specimen is preserved in Good condition, showing the honest wear of a coin that actively passed through the hands of everyday Americans in the late nineteenth century. Designed by James B. Longacre, the obverse of the coin features a stylized representation of Liberty wearing a traditional Native American feather headdress, surrounded by the name of the issuing nation. The reverse design keeps to a simple and bold layout, displaying the denomination 'ONE CENT' nestled inside a protective wreath. This coin was minted at the Philadelphia mint, which did not utilize a mint mark during this production period.
