The 1893 Morgan silver dollar represents a classic era of American currency, serving as a staple of daily commerce for nearly eight decades. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, it bears no mint mark, which distinguishes it from those produced at branch facilities during the same year. Surrounding her portrait are thirteen stars representing the original colonies, the traditional Latin motto "E Pluribus Unum," and the 1893 date of issue. The reverse displays a powerful bald eagle with its wings spread, grasping arrows and an olive branch in its talons.
