1893 Morgan Dollar BU

0.7734 troy oz .900 1893 Brilliant Unc

The Morgan Dollar stands as one of the most recognized silver coins in American history, circulating for about 80 years. This particular specimen, minted in 1893 at the Philadelphia Mint, contains 0.7734 troy ounces of 90 percent pure silver. Because it was struck in Philadelphia, it bears no mint mark, a traditional feature of the main facility's output during this era. On the obverse side, the profile of Liberty is depicted wearing a Phrygian cap. This side is framed by thirteen stars, the date 1893, and the classic Latin motto E PLURIBUS UNUM. The word LIBERTY is also visible on her hairband. This coin is preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, meaning it retains its original mint luster and sharp details just as it looked when it left the coining press. The reverse side displays a powerful bald eagle with its wings spread, clutching both an olive branch and arrows in its talons. Above the eagle, the motto IN GOD WE TRUST is inscribed, while the surrounding text reads UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and ONE DOLLAR.
